Applications are now open for the 2025 Climate Entrepreneurship Exchange Programme, a unique opportunity to collaborate with students from Michigan and North Africa. This program is designed to help participants develop the skills needed to launch a climate-focused startup and build the confidence to deliver an investment pitch.

Starting in February 2025, the virtual exchange will bring together small teams of students to identify climate-related challenges and design innovative business solutions.

This eight-week online certificate program will engage 1,100 undergraduate students from Michigan, Egypt, Libya, and Morocco. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of climate change, its critical impact, and the entrepreneurial opportunities it offers.

Program Schedule

The Climate Entrepreneurship Exchange Programme will run in four cohorts:

  • Cohort 1: Mid-February to Mid-April 2025
  • Cohort 2: Mid-September to Mid-November 2025
  • Cohort 3: Mid-January to Mid-March 2026
  • Cohort 4: Mid-April to Mid-June 2026

Program Benefits

  • Members of the top two winning teams from North Africa will travel to Michigan for a weeklong immersion in the U.S. entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Michigan-based winners will journey to Morocco to learn from regional entrepreneurship experts and experience the local culture.
